The universe is composed of a visible sector and an invisible one. Through research in the field of particle physics, we now know that, on the one hand, there is matter that can be quantified through technological instruments; and on the other hand, there is what is called dark matter. Dark matter is a hypothetical form of matter that does not interact with light or other forms of electromagnetic radiation, making it undetectable by our instruments. However, indirect evidence of its existence comes from its gravitational effects observed throughout the universe. The field of research that speculates on these hypothetical dark matter particles is known as the hidden sector.
Our investigations take the Hidden Sector as both idea and metaphor to develop a sci-fi narrative that allows us to speculate on the unknown, the invisible, and the concealed. By intertwining ancestral knowledge and classical artistic crafts with contemporary technologies, we have developed methods of production that are elastic and flexible, where the act of making becomes a form of thinking.

El universo está compuesto por un sector visible y otro invisible. A través de las investigaciones desarrolladas en el área de la física de partículas, hoy sabemos que existe, por un lado, la materia que puede ser cuantificada a través de instrumentos tecnológicos; y, por otro lado, existe lo que se denomina "materia oscura" (dark matter). El dark matter es una forma de materia hipotética que no interactúa con la luz ni con otras formas de radiación electromagnética, por lo que no podemos detectarla con nuestros instrumentos. Sin embargo , la evidencia indirecta de su existencia proviene de sus efectos gravitacionales observados en el universo. El área de investigación que especula sobre estas partículas hipotéticas del dark matter se denomina el sector oculto.
Nuestras investigaciones parten del Sector Oculto, como idea/metáfora para desarrollar una narrativa Sci-fi que nos permite especular sobre lo desconocido, lo invisible y lo oculto. Entrelazando conocimientos ancestrales y oficios clásicos del arte con tecnologías contemporáneas, hemos desarrollado métodos de producción que son elásticos y flexibles a través de los cuales el ejercicio de hacer se convierte en una forma de pensar.
